Baby Number THREE!

Yup, you read the title right! Baby number three is on the way!! Due in the end of June! We are very excited. Even though I know it will be hard having three kids so close together, I am happy my kids will be close in age. I hope that will help them to always be good friends.
I am about 10 weeks right now. I have my first official appointment next week to find out for sure though. This pregnancy and birth will be different than my other two because I have decided to have this baby at a birth center instead of a hospital. I already have one picked out, and I really like the midwife and the facility. I don't think there is anything wrong with hospital births. I just decided it wasn't for me. I felt like all throughout my labor and deliveries with Dawson and Addy I was being bossed around and told what to do. Don't get me wrong, I felt like the nurses and doctor were very kind, but I also felt like I didn't have many options or choices about my labor. I also hate needles, and throughout the my labors I felt like I was being poked and prodded the whole time. I really wanted to have a natural delivery in the hospital, but I just felt like I was hooked up to so many tubes and machines that I couldn't move around to relieve my discomfort. Both of my previous births went very smoothly, but this time I have decided I want something different. I am excited to see how everything goes, and to have a new baby in our home next Summer!
Addy obviously doesn't get what is going on, but Dawson does and he keeps telling me it will be a boy. I have a feeling he is right!
Morning Sickness. I thought I was going to avoid it with this pregnancy because I was feeling great for a while. Boy was I wrong. Around Thanksgiving time it hit me with a vengeance. I hate that feeling of being nauseous! It is just annoying enough that you can't get anything done! I am usually a pretty scheduled person, and I like to get up and get myself and the kids ready for the day after we wake up. I think that's why I hate morning sickness so much. For the past two weeks, unless I absolutely have to be somewhere, I just stay in my pj's, and so do the kids, rarely put on make-up, and shower about every other day. The house has been in a bad state, and clean towels and underwear few and far between. I need this morning sickness to be over! I can't take living like this much longer, ha ha. I know it will be coming to an end soon though, so I can stick it out a little longer.
I did manage to go meet Tyler for lunch in Salt Lake yesterday, and then take the kids to the zoo. I may have been looking a little rough but I honestly didn't care. Tyler's mom let me know that the zoo was having free admission yesterday so I decided to take the kids. I was feeling pretty sick as I was getting ready to go, but I felt like I owed it to the kids to take them since we have been so cooped up for the past couple weeks. I was really glad we went. We enjoyed getting to see Tyler, although Dawson was sad he didn't get to come with us to the zoo too. And the weather was great for the zoo! All the animals were up close so the kids could see them, and it was a fun day overall!
Loved this little elephant

He was pretty excited by how close those sea lions were getting

Addy was pretty entranced by this polar bear if you couldn't tell

Snow Day!

A little over a week ago, we got a good amount of snow, and Dawson was pretty excited. He associates snow with Christmas, and asked me "Is Santa coming?" I am so excited for Christmas this year because it will be the first year where Dawson really gets it. As for Addy, I am already planning on there only being ornaments on the top half of my tree by December 2nd. I remember the year Dawson was her age at Christmas time. There were lots of broken ornaments and I finally moved them all to the top of the tree to keep them out of his reach.
Anyway, snow day. Dawson LOVED playing in the snow, and Addy thought it was pretty neat too. Here are some pictures of their excitement over all the snow.

Also, here are a few pictures I meant to add a couple weeks ago of the kids having fun in Grandmas's back yard.

If You Need a Laugh

Dawson recently said two things that I found quite hilarious, and I know if I don't write them down I will forget them.
#1. One day I was holding Dawson's hand as we walked somewhere. He sighed and said "all of my energy is going out of my body." I asked him why that was, and he answered very  matter-of-factly "because I've been pooping all day." Well then! I guess that would make sense in the mind of a three year old!
#2. Sometimes we call Addy girlfriend. You know like "Hey girlfriend, how's it going." Anyway Dawson has picked up on that. The other night I gave him a piece of pizza. He pushed his plate back over to me and said "Whoah! You gotta cut that up, girlfriend!" Yeah, I just about died laughing!!

Halloween

Finally getting around to posting some Halloween pics. Unfortunately, Dawson had croup on Halloween, but we did get to go to our ward's trunk-or-treat the night before Halloween.

He was SO excited to be Buzz! And he made a pretty cute one!

This costume was so east to make. And cheap. AND adorable! Can't beat that!

That day before the trunk-or treat we visited a nearby park and the kids had a great time!

Addy's First Birthday!!!

Where did this past year go? I swear time goes 10 times faster with your second than it does with your first, because Addy is somehow a YEAR OLD now! Her birthday was the 19th (yes I know I am a little late posting).
My little girl is such a sweet heart! I love that she is a mama's girl. She loves for me to hold her, even if I am just doing household chores. As I hold her she watches every little thing that I do.
She loves her Dawson too. He makes her giggle till she can't breath, and the two of them laughing together might be the best sound ever!
She can stand up like a champ, and pushes her her little shopping car all over, but she is still not interested in walking on her own yet. I am ok with that because I already feel like she has grown up too fast.
Addy is a very picky eater. Most of the time when I give her something to eat I know she'll make a face and spit it right back out.
Her new thing is saying hi to everyone when we are in public. She learned that one from Dawson.
She LOVES socks and shoes! She is always bringing me her, Dawson, mine, or Tyler's socks and shoes to put on, and when we go to the store she loves to try on shoes. This may come back to bite me in the butt eventually, but for now I think it is so adorable.
We love our Addy Rose, and I can't believe how big she is getting!
Here are some pictures of the birthday girl.

Dawson's little friend brought Dawson this late birthday present right before Addy's party, and he was obsessed with it!

Dawson quite enjoyed putting the sprinkles on Addy's cupcakes.

Hangin' out with grandma.

Dawson kept blowing out the candle.

Grabbed a cupcake before I could stop her and. . . .

Shove it in her mouth!

Her new baby doll (Dawson later named this baby doll Turkey, and the other baby he named Jake).

Super cute coat from Mi mi and Pa pa

She loves talking on the phone.
Happy birthday, Addelyn! I love you!

Dawson is Three!!!!!

Holy toledo! When did my little baby Dawson get so old! He is not a baby or a toddler anymore. He is a little boy now!
He loves riding his bike, (not) taking naps, playing with his friends, drawing and painting, taking showers (not baths anymore), and lots of other big boy things. He also loves helping with Addy. If I have to do something in another room he always says "Don't worry mom, I'll watch Addy for you." I still have to keep an eye on him with her, ha ha, but he is getting better at being gentle with her.

My happy little three-year-old.

Dawson's birthday was on October 11th, and his birthday party was on the 13th. Even though his party wasn't on the day of his birthday, I tried to make it a special, fun day for him. I had balloons all over when he woke up that morning. I made him chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. That was a flop though. Neither he or Addy were a fan of them. I just tried to do what he wanted that day, and we went to his favorite park. When Tyler got home we let him blow out a candle on a cup cake, and he got to open up the Tonka fire station my parents got for him.

It was a fun, sweet day with my Dawson!
On the thirteenth we had Dawson's party. It was supposed to be outside but the weather did not cooperate, and our house is too small, so we had it at the church. I tried to keep it simple. I did make the cake, but I didn't worry about a lot of party games because in the end, kids this age just like to play and run. It turned out really fun and the kids had a blast! Dawson was really happy that my brothers, Adam and Andrew could be there too.

This picture cracks me up! I was trying to get them to take a sweet brother/sister picture, but all Addy can think about is that she is not happy that that juice box is in Dawson's hands instead of hers.

"You talkin' ta me?"

Happy birthday, Dawson! My age 3 be fun, exciting, and full of new things!!
