Addy is 11 Months Old!

Addy is now eleven months old (I wrote this on the 19th) which means she will be ONE in a month!! Holy toledo!!
She is now able to stand on her own, but still doesn't seem very interested in walking.

Addy is extremely observant. She watches everything and then copies. For instance she is always trying to dress herself, or if I put shampoo in her's and Dawson's hair in the bath tub, she will start scrubbing it in with her hands. She will try and wipe her face and hands with cloths, etc.
My favorite thing she does is when she yells "GO!" when Tyler, Dawson, or I say "ready set."
She is a pretty picky eater! And if she does not appreciate what she is being fed she will karate chop the spoon you are using our of your hand, flinging food everywhere!
She loves her big brother Dawson. In fact I have a cute story about the two of them. This morning I was leaving to go to the Brigham city temple dedication (Tyler and I were going to take turns going since the kids weren't allowed, but ended up being able to go together later). Anyway, as I was leaving I was explaing to Dawson that this kind of church was only for mom's and dad's. Dawson said. "Oh, is dad going too?" Tyler played along and said "yeah I am going too, will you babysit Addy for us while we are gone?" Dawson liked that idea and said "Sure!" So Tyler walked to the back door with me and we told Dawson bye, then opened and closed the door, but obviously stayed inside. Dawson called my name twice and when I didn't answer he decided we really had left him to babysit, and he got right to business. Tyler and I were watching him from around the corner. He went over to Addy who was about to go up the stairs and said to her in the sweetest voice "Addy, remember you can't go up the stairs?" And then he picked her up and carried her to the other side of the room. My heart had just about melted by this point and I actually had tears in my eyes when I saw how sweet he was to her. Then he said in his same sweet voice "Addy do you want to look at this book with me?" I couldn't see them at this point but I could tell they were looking at the book together. I snuck over to the door and opened it and closed it and said "Hey Dawson! We're back!" He said "Hey, how was your church?" Oh he is just too cute. He was so proud that he had babysat Addy!

Labor Day Weekend, and Tyler's Birthday (Finally, it's been a BUSY couple of weeks!)

We had a great Labor Day weekend! We kicked it off by going to the Brigham City Temple open house on Saturday morning. Dawson was so excited to get to go inside a temple. He has always wanted to see what it looked like on the inside. It was a beautiful temple! Smaller than I thought it would be, but so pretty!
Before we went through the temple they had us watch a movie about temples and their purpose. Dawson got a little bored during this, leaned over to me and said "Do they have Move it Move it?" (He was talking about the movie Madagascar). After we went through the temple, we went and walked around the grounds and Tyler got some good pics.

On Monday, Labor Day, Tyler's mom took us to Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. Dawson loved it!! He was running around excitedly checking everything out. I think the moments I am very happiest are when I see my kids or Tyler excited and having fun. So I was definitely happy that day!
After we saw all the animals, we bought tickets for the kids to ride on the carousal.I knew Dawson would be excited about it but I didn't thinks Addy would really care. Boy was I wrong! She squealed with delight and bounced up and down for the whole ride. It was adorable!!

Last Thursday was Tyler's birthday. He is now a quarter of a century. I made him a super yummy cake from Our Best Bites, and his family came over. I also got him Tickets to a Ute's football game and an i-tunes card so he could get some good tunes to run to during the St. George Marathon. I am super proud of him that he will be in that, by the way. Anyway I think he had a good birthday. I just love him and am so grateful to have him in my life.
