Addy's First Birthday!!!

Where did this past year go? I swear time goes 10 times faster with your second than it does with your first, because Addy is somehow a YEAR OLD now! Her birthday was the 19th (yes I know I am a little late posting).
My little girl is such a sweet heart! I love that she is a mama's girl. She loves for me to hold her, even if I am just doing household chores. As I hold her she watches every little thing that I do.
She loves her Dawson too. He makes her giggle till she can't breath, and the two of them laughing together might be the best sound ever!
She can stand up like a champ, and pushes her her little shopping car all over, but she is still not interested in walking on her own yet. I am ok with that because I already feel like she has grown up too fast.
Addy is a very picky eater. Most of the time when I give her something to eat I know she'll make a face and spit it right back out.
Her new thing is saying hi to everyone when we are in public. She learned that one from Dawson.
She LOVES socks and shoes! She is always bringing me her, Dawson, mine, or Tyler's socks and shoes to put on, and when we go to the store she loves to try on shoes. This may come back to bite me in the butt eventually, but for now I think it is so adorable.
We love our Addy Rose, and I can't believe how big she is getting!
Here are some pictures of the birthday girl.

Dawson's little friend brought Dawson this late birthday present right before Addy's party, and he was obsessed with it!

Dawson quite enjoyed putting the sprinkles on Addy's cupcakes.

Hangin' out with grandma.

Dawson kept blowing out the candle.

Grabbed a cupcake before I could stop her and. . . .

Shove it in her mouth!

Her new baby doll (Dawson later named this baby doll Turkey, and the other baby he named Jake).

Super cute coat from Mi mi and Pa pa

She loves talking on the phone.
Happy birthday, Addelyn! I love you!

Dawson is Three!!!!!

Holy toledo! When did my little baby Dawson get so old! He is not a baby or a toddler anymore. He is a little boy now!
He loves riding his bike, (not) taking naps, playing with his friends, drawing and painting, taking showers (not baths anymore), and lots of other big boy things. He also loves helping with Addy. If I have to do something in another room he always says "Don't worry mom, I'll watch Addy for you." I still have to keep an eye on him with her, ha ha, but he is getting better at being gentle with her.

My happy little three-year-old.

Dawson's birthday was on October 11th, and his birthday party was on the 13th. Even though his party wasn't on the day of his birthday, I tried to make it a special, fun day for him. I had balloons all over when he woke up that morning. I made him chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. That was a flop though. Neither he or Addy were a fan of them. I just tried to do what he wanted that day, and we went to his favorite park. When Tyler got home we let him blow out a candle on a cup cake, and he got to open up the Tonka fire station my parents got for him.

It was a fun, sweet day with my Dawson!
On the thirteenth we had Dawson's party. It was supposed to be outside but the weather did not cooperate, and our house is too small, so we had it at the church. I tried to keep it simple. I did make the cake, but I didn't worry about a lot of party games because in the end, kids this age just like to play and run. It turned out really fun and the kids had a blast! Dawson was really happy that my brothers, Adam and Andrew could be there too.

This picture cracks me up! I was trying to get them to take a sweet brother/sister picture, but all Addy can think about is that she is not happy that that juice box is in Dawson's hands instead of hers.

"You talkin' ta me?"

Happy birthday, Dawson! My age 3 be fun, exciting, and full of new things!!

Randomness

I took Dawson and Addy to the duck pond last week, and they were lovin' it. I knew Dawson would but I didn't expect Addy to get so excited.

So I have to share this tip that I found on Pinterest that I just absolutely love. I am very funny about air fresheners and scented waxes because a lot of them smell kind of fake or weird to me. Then I saw on Pinterest that you can put two cap-fulls of vanilla in a coffee mug and put in in your oven set on 300 degress. It smells HEAVENLY! It gives off such and inviting, natural vanilla scent. The other day I decided to add some cinnamon to the vanilla, and it smelled just as good! I love having a house that smells so nice.

26.2 Miles

Tyler accomplished a huge task last Saturday. He ran the St. George Marathon!! Running that far is just incomprehensible to me so I am amazed he was able to do that! A full Summer of training paid off. Tyler is the kind of person who likes to set goals and reach for the stars. I am so proud of him.

The people in front of me, next to me, all around me (yeah I was getting a little annoyed no one would let me through the crowd so I could get a picture of my husband crossing the finish line. I wanted to run someone over with my dang jogging stroller), but anyway they probably thought I was a a crazy woman the way I was screaming Tyler's name.
After he crossed the finish line I was able to go hug him, and it was so sweet. We both got a little teary eyes at that point.
He was walking like an old man afterwards, and was so sore he could hardly move for a few days. I love you, Ty! Good job!!!!
