Dawson and Addy
Dawson is now 3 1/2 and Addy is 1 1/2. It's been a long time since I have done updates on them, so here it goes!
Dawson:
Dawson is my little busy body. He is always doing something! He loves playing at the park and in the sprinkler. I can't wait for the splash pad to open up bc he will love that!
Dawson is such a sweet guy. Sure he has his moments like all three-year-olds, but he really just melts my heart most of the time. He is so kind to Addy and he always calls her "sweetie." All he has to do is make a silly face at Addy or smile at her and she will just laugh her head off. It's been that way since Addy was little.
Yesterday Dawson had kind of a rough day, and after a huge tantrum he threw, he came up to me and said "Mom, I'm sorry for having my grumpy gills on." He is always making us laugh and I need to write down more of the things he says so I don't forget them.
Dawson is obsessed with the clothes he wears. The first thing he asks me every morning is what he can wear that day, and he has a particular few shirts, pants, and even underwear he will wear. And of course his outfits never match Sometimes he will go a couple days in a row wearing the same thing just bc I don't want to fight him about his wardrobe. It seriously drives me crazy sometimes, but hopefully he will grow out of that faze soon.
Dawson is a very outgoing little guy, and is always quick to make friends at the park when we go.
He is so excited for Brooks to get here, and just adores Aunt Alli's 5-month-old baby, Hadley.
Dawson loves spending time with Tyler. Tyler got him a putter just his size and sometimes they will go to the putting green at the golf course together. Dawson is a happy camper those days.
We just love our little Dawson!
Then there is our Addy girl. She is a happy girl who just likes to be along for the ride.
She also is very into her clothing and dressing herself. As you can see in the picture above, she has put on her favorite pair of Dawson's basketball shorts. (You can also see in the picture above an example of Dawson not matching).
Addy is my little helper. Anytime she spills she goes to the towel drawer to get a rag to clean up. And if she finds a piece of garbage she will take it to the trash can. She loves to take baby Hadley her blanket and toys.
Addy talks very well for her age, and I just love to hear her little sentences. I think it is absolutely adorable that Dawson can usually understand her, and they carry on the cutest little conversations. She has recently started saying "why?" after I tell her anything. I know a certain little boy that she learned word from.
She is always smiling and it's pretty easy to get a belly laugh out of her. We love our Addy Rose too!

Tyler Graduates!!!!!
Holy Toledo, there were times I thought this day would never come! It just felt so far away! But April 2013 finally arrived, and with it Tyler's graduation from big boy school. He got his bachelors in sales and service technology. I can't even imagine what a relief it is for him to not have to worry about home work all the time. And its so nice that when he is home from work, he's just home. He doesn't have to go do this assignment or write some paper.
We have had a lot of things happen during the time he has been in school. Among other things, we got married, rented our first apartment, bought our first house, had two children, and found out a third was coming, Tyler had 3 or 4 different jobs, sold our house, and much much more. I feel like we have grown so much as a couple over these almost five years!
Congratulations babe. I am so proud of you!!

Cali Trip
Two weeks ago we went on a super fun Trip to Cali with Tyler's family. On the way there we stopped in St. George on the way there for one night. The kids did great on the drive. The house we stayed in had a fenced yard that was perfect for the kids to play in. There we some child-sized plastic chairs in the back yard that Addy loved. The next morning, which was Sunday, we managed to get some cute pictures of the kids sitting in the little chairs in their Sunday best.
They just melt my heart! They were being so perfect and sweet to each other, and then......
A little dose of brotherly love! I love how Dawson is like "Hmmm, I wonder how that happened?"
After church that day we were off to Anaheim, California. The drive felt looong, but once again the kids did great. They had their moments but definitely exceeded my expectations. We got to the Embassy Suites Hotel around 7:00 that night. Dawson loved the elevator, and the fact that you could get endless soda in the cafeteria. The next morning we went to Disneyland!! Dawson was in Heaven. The best part about being a parent at Disneyland is just watching how much fun your children have.
Entering the magical world!
It was drizzling a little when we got there, but the weather got better and stayed beautiful for the rest of our stay.
The first ride! Dawson was getting so excited by this point.
The Buzz Lightyear ride was Dawson's favorite by far, and we rode it again and again Addy loves Buzz and really enjoyed this ride too.
Holding hands:) P.s. this monkey back pack/leash was a life saver. Dawson hates holding onto one of us in public, but he doesn't mind the leash. And then I don't have to worry about him getting lost!
The next day we went to California Adventure. Cars Land was amazing! It really did look like Radiator Springs! Dawson was so excited to see Lightning McQueen!
After a while of fun, we decided to take the kids back to the Hotel for naps because they were so cranky. Dawson cried all the way back to the bus. He was exhausted!
We got back just in time for a parade. The kids were all about the Toy Story characters.
Bumper Cars
That turkey leg looked disgusting, but it was actually pretty good, Dawson loved it.
Cotton Candy!
This lego store was awesome!
That night we saw World of Color which was amazing. I guess we were too busy enjoying it to get any pictures. After that we said goodbye to Disneyland and Cali Adventure.
We had one day left in California, so we went to the San Diego Temple. It was gorgeous!!!
We were supposed to go to the beach that afternoon, but it was way too windy. So we just went back to the Hotel and took it easy for the rest of the day. We were pretty tired by then anyway.
We had a blast in California! The next day we hit the road at 4 in the morning so Tyler could be back in time for one of his final classes. (Tyler graduated last Friday, there will be an update on that soon. Happy day!!!!!). It worked out well to leave at that time bc the kids slept a lot of the way. Goodbye Cali! Hope to see you soon!!
