Ok, I have been awful
at keeping up with my blog the past few months! Dawson and Addy had birthdays,
there was Halloween, and Brooks has gotten huge! I have like 2987285609873
pictures to upload to this post, but before I do I will give you a quick re-cap
of some of the important things from the last few months.
Dawson turned four
the day before we moved into our town house. It was a fun day, and we took the
kids to the trampoline park. They loved it!! It was so fun to see what a great
time they were having. Dawson is getting so big, and just cracks me up all the
time. He is always saying big words and funny things and I really wish I had been writing it all down so I could
remember them now. The main story I remember is one morning the kids woke up
and came upstairs like they always do. Tyler and I were still laying in bed and
we could hear their cute little voices as they conversed with each other. I
couldn’t catch everything they were saying, but then I very clearly heard
Dawson say to Addy, in a very matter-of-fact kind of way: “Everybody has a bum,
sweetheart.” I so wish I could have heard the conversation leading up to that.
Tyler and I lay in bed and laughed quietly.
Then there is our Addy Rose! She turned two on October 19th, and she is a little spit-fire. She loves to show off and be the center of attention!
I have a funny story about Addy. We were in church (in my parents ward in NC, actually) this past week. During the sacrament I told Addy she could sit on my lap and think about Jesus, and she asked me where Jesus was. I told her he lived in Heaven in the sky. Addy got upset and said "I no want Jesus to go by bye." I told her that even though she can't see him, he is there and he can hear here when she talks to him. She instantly looked at the ceiling and said loudly "Hey Jesus!" That made me laugh, and then I told her that we can talk to Jesus when we pray. She then looked down, closed her eyes and said again, loudly, "Hey Jesus!" I love how innocent little children are.
Last, but not least, is our sweet Brooks. I cannot believe he is almost 6 months old already! We have been in NC for the past week and a half, and in that time he got his two bottom teeth. It is so cute! He is sitting up now, and trying to crawl. He is such an easy going little guy, and everyone always comments on what a good baby he is. He will go to just about anyone, and is always full of smiles and giggles. I am still trying to ease him into solid food, and so far his favorite is bananas. Brooks' hair is getting looong, and he has a mullet going on.
